Read-to-REACH Programme (RTR)

Read-to-REACH (RTR) is a small-group language and literacy intervention programme. K1 children who require additional English Language and Literacy support are taught letter recognition, phonological and phonemic awareness, sight vocabulary, book and print awareness and story comprehension.

Highlights

  • Small group Language & Literacy intervention to improve English Language & Literacy skills.

Benefits

|

Offering support to K1 children who are weak in English literacy, RTR has produced good learning outcomes. More than half of K1 children who attend RTR do not need literacy intervention in K2. This improved confidence in both spoken and written English prepares children well for formal schooling.
