NTUC First Campus (NFC) Co-operative Limited supports the Government’s move to increase childcare and infant care subsidies for lower and middle-income families and believes that this will encourage more families to come forward to take up full-day childcare / infant care services. With this change, more than 60% of parents at My First Skool can expect to pay lower childcare fees.

My First Skool has done its part to keep school fees affordable. Our median childcare fees of $642 is 14% below the national median fee of $750. The last fee increase by My First Skool was two years ago in 2011, by $30. My First Skool has been able to keep its fees affordable despite substantial increases in manpower costs in recent years, and heavy investments in raising quality. My First Skool expects to maintain its fees at the current level in 2013.

In the coming months, My First Skool intends to continue to expand its outreach, keep fees affordable, and raise quality. We are particularly heartened that higher subsidies for lower income families will enable children from such families to send their children to a childcare centre.
