Abstract:

Eunice Tay is one of our Award Winners of the ECDA Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher Award in 2018. She is currently a Deputy Centre Lead at My First Skool PCC 07. Tay identifies three aspects that would allow her to meet the needs of a child. She also shares with us the importance of being reflective when working as an educator. Tay then brings us through the relationship-based curriculum (RBC) and how she implements it in her practice. Aside from working with children, Tay emphasises on the role of the child’s family and why it is necessary to foster strong parent-educator partnerships. Lastly, she shares with us the type of support that NTUC First Campus (NFC) provides her with, which has helped her develop professionally as an educator.
