Outdoor School Singapore’s The Wetland Wanderers camp takes children on an adventure around Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and Kranji Marshes.

NTUC First Campus’ Outdoor School Singapore was featured in The Straits Times as one of the June school holiday activities helping children learn about sustainability and environmental responsibility through hands-on outdoor experiences. Its nature-based camps, Water Trekkers and Wetland Wanderers, are designed for children aged seven to nine and take participants to parks and nature reserves such as Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, Sembawang Park, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve and Kranji Marshes to explore water conservation, ecosystems and wildlife through guided exploration, scavenger hunts and teamwork activities.

The broader Straits Times feature highlighted a range of fun and educational holiday programmes aimed at making climate awareness and eco-friendly habits engaging and age-appropriate for children. From outdoor camps and museum programmes to interactive performances and a climate-themed quiz book, the initiatives encourage children and families to better understand their role in protecting the planet through play, discovery and experiential learning.
