Engaging & Purposeful
Learning Environment
Spaces Where Learning Comes to Life
Step inside one of our centres, and you’ll find more than just classrooms—you’ll find carefully curated spaces that invite children to explore, interact, and learn. At NTUC First Campus, we design purposeful spaces—from classrooms and learning corners to indoor and outdoor play areas—that inspire curiosity, foster interaction, and support every child’s development.
Classrooms That Inspire and Support Learning
Every classroom at NTUC First Campus is designed with flexibility to support different learning purposes and responsive to the needs of the children, predictability to foster familiarity and security, and age-appropriate features with carefully selected colours and materials to meet the developmental needs of every child.
Dramatic Learning Corners That Encourage Discovery
Our research-backed dramatic learning corners encourage hands-on discovery and creativity, allowing children to select activities that interest them and explore at their own pace. Research by NTUC First Campus and NIE revealed that learning corners, characterised by independent exploration and choice, foster significantly higher involvement than large group activities. These spaces are tailored to different age groups, from sensory toys for toddlers to role-play setups and literacy stations for older children.
Bringing Learning Into the Community
Learning extends beyond our centres into the rich environments of parks, gardens, and cultural landmarks that surround us. These rich learning environments offer immersive experiences, connect children to their surroundings and foster real-world learning.
By stepping outside, children expand their sense of place, learning not just from books but from the textures of leaves, the sounds of the city, and the rhythm of community life.
