More than Just Student Care – An After-school & Enrichment Centre for Tomorrow’s Changemakers

“What if your child came home from after-school care feeling inspired, confident and curious?
Most student care programmes keep children busy. Ours builds them up. At Changemakers by SEED Campus, after-school time becomes a springboard for curiosity, confidence and real-world skills. At Changemakers, after-school hours aren’t a time filler. They’re formative.
Imagine your child coming home from after-school care not just fed and finished with homework, but brimming with stories about what they learned, built, or figured out that day, eager to return the next day.
That’s the everyday experience at Changemakers.
Take the time we turned a real ice cream shop in East Coast into The Shop of Little Scoops, and let our primary schoolers run the show. They served customers, managed payments, made decisions, and solved problems in real time.
The parent of one of our students shared: “My daughter loves Changemakers so much, she doesn’t even want to go home!”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. This kind of learning doesn’t come from textbooks—it comes from doing, reflecting, and trying again. That’s the foundation of our approach. Welcome to discovery, growth, and meaningful learning beyond the classroom.
What is the Changemakers’ Learning Approach?
Our learning approach is inspired by David Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory (Kolb, 1984), as well as Harvard’s Project Zero Thinking Routine Toolbox. Children experience, reflect, think more deeply and fire their imagination to explore further and experiment.
We call this approach: EXRAE Method.

EXperience
When it comes to selling ice-cream, the children learnt about the range of flavours through tasting. They also learnt about ingredients, giving them a fuller picture of how top-notch ice creams are made. They developed awareness of their body language and choice of words to give the best customer service.
Reflect
We next invite the children to share their experiences of working in the shop. What did they enjoy, what did they struggle with? Perhaps they had information overload or found speaking to new people challenging.
Assimilate
Here, we encourage the children to tackle information overload and explore how to chat with new people. For example, remembering and recommending their favourite flavours to others. We discussed thinking about customers as ‘guests in our homes’ and how we would welcome them.
Experiment
Now it’s time to experiment – students can promote their favourite flavours by coming up with exciting descriptions. We prepare samples to entice everyone to taste new flavours, connecting this experience to wider discussions of different tastes and being open to new ideas.
What We Offer: A One-Stop Solution for Student Care
We make things easy for parents. With Changemakers, your child builds life skills, learns in a nurturing environment and tucks into nourishing meals. It’s a win-win.
More than After-School Care (with Signature Life Skills!)
We combine the best of student care with enrichment. Beyond providing a safe space, we foster independence and encourage curiosity, building lifelong success.
Homework help? Sure, we do that. But it’s just the baseline for us. Your child will also get our trademarked life skills programme built into their homework time, to develop independence and confidence:
- Savvy Communicator™ – Learn how to express, listen, and hold a conversation – not just to communicate, but to deliver effective verbal presentations along with written and visual communications.
- Young Innovator™ – Creative problem-solving, time and project management and decision making.
- Learn & Earn™ – Where the classroom meets entrepreneurism. Children take on micro jobs and experience what it is like to “earn their keep, sometimes even taking charge of small-scale businesses.
We dedicate 3 to 4 hours a week to our life skills modules—enough to be meaningful, but never overwhelming.
As a Savvy CommunicatorTM, children learn about expressing themselves, being active listeners and the importance of seeking different perspectives. This helps them share ideas, open up their worlds and show empathy for others. Lower Primary students will learn about digital literacy and etiquette and online safety, while practicing empathy, perspective taking, verbal and non-verbal communication and conflict resolution. Middle primary students will learn about media literacy, digital communication, goal setting, perspective, intent and interpersonal communication.
Testing new ideas, working with others to find solutions and taking risks – these are hallmarks of our Young InnovatorTM content. Lower primary students will learn basic management skills like organisation and planning, time management, financial literacy and decision making, while honing their creative and emotional problem solving skills. Middle primary students will learn project management, environmental problem solving and conflict resolution as well.
As part of our micro economy, Learn & EarnTM provides opportunities for the children to sign up for ‘jobs’, like librarian, journalist, wellness coordinator, space planner, and so on. Upon taking on these job roles, they dedicate three days a week to execute their roles and responsibilities. At the end of the month, the children are paid Sid Dollars for the work they have done. With the Sid Dollars earned, they can choose to save them in the Sid Bank or redeem them for gifts in the Treasure Booth.

Holiday Programmes
Get stuck in with our hands-on, real-world learning holiday camps.
From field trips to using design-led thinking to solve problems, children experience solving real-world challenges with others and learn about themselves. They will also get a chance to meet with professionals from different industries.
- Small But Mighty: The Eco Innovators Workshop: Solving Green Challenges with Design Thinking & Upcycling. Join our 5-day June holiday camp for curious children aged 7-10 years old. Through design thinking, they’ll tackle environmental issues and discover upcycling for ingenious solutions. Inspired by Go Green SG, they’ll learn from experts to work with pre-loved materials and prototype innovative, sustainable designs for a Sustainability Showcase.
- Little Mall of Possibilities – During our holiday programme, children took on a real-world challenge using the design thinking process. They began by visiting the FairPrice outlet at Parkway Parade to observe shoppers and understand their needs, especially those of primary school children. After identifying key pain points and defining the problem, they brainstormed creative ways to make the supermarket’s café more appealing to children. Over three days, they worked in teams to develop their ideas and then pitched their proposals directly to the Fairprice outlet manager, offering thoughtful and practical solutions to redesign the space. It was a hands-on experience that built empathy, creativity, and confidence in problem-solving.
Fee:
- School Holiday Programmes between S$450 – S$750 (excludes GST) for 3 or 5-day programme
