In an episode celebrating teachers in special fields ahead of Teachers’ Day, Ong Li Sha, English Lead Teacher at My First Skool (MFS) at 2 Punggol Drive, was one of two teachers featured.

She shared that she began her career in accounting but discovered her passion for early childhood education after caring for her coach’s child. Moved by the joy and trust the child gave her, she joined MFS through the Place-and-Train programme while studying for her diploma in early childhood education.

She was guided in her journey by a patient mentor who showed her both professional skills and the importance of compassion. She also shared that working with infants taught her to slow down, observe closely, and respond with empathy. From being one of the pioneer teachers at 2 Punggol Drive and starting her first class, she gradually built her career and is now a Lead Teacher and mentor to younger teachers, supporting them in the same way she was once supported.
