Growing Educational Leadership
for a
Brighter Future
Beyond our Teachers, we are deeply committed to strengthening Educational Leadership across our Centres.
Strong leadership and effective governance in our preschool services are key to shaping high-quality learning experiences that nurture each child’s growth and development.
This is why at NTUC First Campus, we place great emphasis on growing strong centre leaders — empowering them with the skills, support, and vision to lead boldly, nurture professional growth within their teams, and create enriching environments where every child can thrive.

Early Childhood Educational Leadership Certificate Programme
We are the first and only in the Early Childhood sector to partner with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) to offer the Early Childhood Educational Leadership (ECEL) programme. Co-designed, co–delivered and co-assessed by both SUSS and NFC, this work-study is specifically tailored to empower our leaders to advance their skills and become effective leaders through classroom learning and on-the-job training.

Mentoring Leaders to Nurture Brighter Futures
At the heart of ECEL is a thoughtfully designed mentoring experience, led by NFC’s Educational Leadership Specialists, who walk alongside our emerging educational leaders as trusted guides.
Supporting participants from outside their immediate workplace contexts, mentors offer a non-reporting relationship that creates a safe space for participants to reflect and grow. From their external vantage point, mentors also offer fresh insights and diverse perspectives that inspire new thinking and innovative practices.
Upon successful completion of four SUSS courses and the NFC Work-Study component, NFC staff will be eligible for credit recognition should they choose to further their studies in an early childhood degree with SUSS.
Nurturing a Vibrant Community of Practice
Leadership is not a journey that’s meant to be walked alone. That’s why we invest in building a strong community amongst our leaders, where they can grow collectively through dialogue, collaboration and shared learning.
At NTUC First Campus, we nurture a culture where leaders support one another in their commitment to accelerate improvement in teaching and learning, so that we can best serve the needs of our children and families.
