Jobcentral’s BrightMinds 2025 e-magazine — a dedicated portal for students to find job opportunities with companies hiring fresh graduates from local and international institutions — featured two of NTUC First Campus’ (NFC) passionate educators: Emma Yeo En Yan from Little Skool-House (LSH) at SingHealth Tower and Nur Nazhifah Binte Sainar from My First Skool (MFS) at Blk 209 Ang Mo Kio. Through their purposeful teaching and heartfelt dedication, both educators embody NTUC First Campus’ mission to nurture minds and enable every child to learn, grow, and flourish in a supportive and joyful environment.
For Emma, becoming a preschool educator was inspired by her own happy early learning experiences filled with warmth, care, and engaging lessons. Now a teacher at LSH, she carries those memories forward by creating hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that nurture curiosity, confidence, and socio-emotional growth in her students. Emma takes pride in helping children learn through meaningful, real-world experiences — from field trips to public presentations — and guiding them to become thoughtful, digitally literate individuals who value relationships. Supported by NFC’s strong learning culture, she continues to grow professionally through ongoing courses and mentorship, finding daily purpose in the joy and appreciation of her students and their families.
Nazhifah’s journey into early childhood education began unexpectedly but evolved into a meaningful career where she now thrives as a Senior Teacher at MFS. With a deep passion for nurturing young minds, she leads engaging activities such as sensory play, music, and storytelling, ensuring that every lesson supports each child’s unique development. Beyond teaching, she mentors new educators, partners with parents, and supports centre-wide initiatives to uphold high-quality care and education. NFC’s commitment to staff development has also enabled her to pursue further qualifications through sponsored studies, motivating her to keep learning and growing. For Nazhifah, the joy of witnessing each child’s milestones makes every challenge worthwhile, reaffirming her belief that teaching from the heart creates the biggest impact.
